Terms of service.

Your rights and responsibilities when using StudySAT.

Last updated 2 October 2026

Before you start

You agree to these Terms when you accept them during registration or checkout. If any of it is unclear, email hello@studysat.net and we will explain it in ordinary words.

These Terms explain your rights and responsibilities when using StudySAT, including our website, learning resources and available AI features. Please read them before creating an account or making a purchase.

1. Who we are

StudySAT is operated by Intelligence Education Technology Pty Ltd in Victoria, Australia. In these Terms, “StudySAT”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.

You can contact us at hello@studysat.net or through our contact page.

StudySAT is an independent learning platform. Neither StudySAT nor its resources or services are affiliated with, approved, endorsed or sponsored by College Board. References to SAT subjects and assessments identify the learning context of our resources and do not imply an official relationship.

2. Accepting these Terms

You agree to these Terms when you accept them during registration or checkout. If you purchase a service, the plan and offer details presented before you confirm your order also form part of your agreement with us. Those specific details govern the price and included features for that purchase.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Accepting these Terms does not, by itself, give consent to optional marketing, model training or any other processing that requires separate consent.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

3. Age and accounts

You must be at least 13 to create an account or use features that ask you to provide personal information. A higher minimum age or additional parental consent may apply where you live.

If you are under 18, review these Terms with a parent or guardian. Where the law requires their permission, obtain it before using the relevant service. A parent or guardian must make any purchase that you are not legally able to make yourself. We do not treat a child's acceptance of these Terms as automatically binding their parent or guardian.

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Your account is for your own use unless we expressly provide a shared or institutional arrangement. You are not automatically responsible for unauthorised activity that you did not cause or could not reasonably prevent.

4. Learning resources and AI features

StudySAT provides learning resources and study support. Available subjects, resource types and features are described on the relevant pages and, for paid services, in the offer you purchase.

AI features, including automated writing feedback, generate responses using artificial intelligence. Responses may contain mistakes, omit relevant information or produce inaccurate citations. Check important information against your current course materials and your teacher's guidance.

Automated feedback is not a human examiner's review or an official SAT assessment. If a service includes human review, we will identify that service and explain the reviewer's role before you use or purchase it. A human contributor's involvement does not imply College Board endorsement.

We do not promise a particular grade, admission outcome or examination result. Your teachers, school and relevant examining body determine your official assessments. These limitations do not reduce our responsibility to supply services with the care and skill required by law or to honour the features and descriptions we sell.

5. Academic integrity and responsible use

Use StudySAT in accordance with your school's rules and the requirements for your particular task. Permission to use AI and the requirement to acknowledge it are separate questions. A citation does not make an otherwise prohibited use acceptable.

You must not use StudySAT to:

  • submit another person's work or AI-generated work as your own;
  • produce fabricated research, data, references or records for assessment;
  • obtain or distribute leaked or confidential assessment materials;
  • impersonate another person, misrepresent qualifications or deceive others;
  • upload material you are not entitled to use, or unnecessarily disclose another person's personal information;
  • harass others, distribute unlawful content or compromise anyone's safety;
  • bypass security or usage controls, access another person's account, or disrupt the service; or
  • systematically copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our resources without permission, except where applicable law permits the activity.

Keep your own thinking and authorship central to assessed work. Our academic integrity guidance provides further information.

6. Free resources, Pro and Mock Exam access

Video and Audio resources are free to view without an account. Register for a free account to use the other free study-library resources. Pro is a separate subscription at US$5 per month, or US$48 per year after a 20% discount on the US$60 annual price. When available for purchase, Mock Exam is a separate US$49.90 one-time payment to unlock the mock examination module; it is not a charge for each attempt and does not renew automatically. Included features, availability and any material usage limits are described on the package page and at checkout. A purchase does not make a practice examination official or its score a calibrated SAT prediction.

Before you confirm a purchase, we will show the price and currency, applicable taxes and charges, whether payment is recurring or one-time, the billing period and renewal terms where applicable, included features, and any material usage limits. If a feature uses credits, we will explain the included allowance, how credits are used, when they refresh or expire, and what happens when the allowance is exhausted.

We will not impose undisclosed material limits on a feature sold as unlimited. Reasonable controls to prevent automated abuse or protect security must not be used to withdraw the ordinary use included in your plan.

Where an offer includes live sessions or human support, the offer will state the relevant availability, booking arrangements and limits. Do not assume that AI feedback includes a live teacher or examiner.

7. Billing and subscription renewal

Pro renews monthly or annually according to the plan you choose, until cancelled. Mock Exam module access is charged once in US dollars and does not renew automatically. Existing one-time access grants retain the terms of their original purchase; they are not converted to subscriptions. We provide an order confirmation or receipt identifying your purchase and charges. Applicable taxes or additional charges, if any, are shown before you confirm payment.

Payments purchased directly from StudySAT are processed through Stripe. We do not charge a different price or add another paid product without your authorisation. If a payment fails, no paid access is granted on the basis of an unsuccessful payment; you can retry or contact support about the transaction.

The separate demonstration exam, report and learning-loop screens are labelled as demos. Their sample questions, progress and scores are illustrative. Paid mock examination results describe the practice attempt and are not official College Board results or calibrated predictions of an official SAT score. Purchasing access does not change these distinctions.

8. Ending use and account deletion

You may cancel a renewing Pro subscription through the available Billing controls, or contact support if those controls are unavailable. Cancellation stops future renewal charges; the paid access period and cancellation effect are shown in your account or purchase terms. Mock Exam module access and existing one-time grants have no recurring subscription to cancel. You may stop using the service at any time. Stopping use or deleting your account does not automatically create a refund entitlement; section 9 explains refunds and consumer rights.

You can request account deletion through the available account controls or by emailing hello@studysat.net from your account email address. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request. A technical failure will not remove your right to contact us for help.

Account deletion, ending use and requesting a refund are distinct requests. Tell us which action you want so that we can explain its effect on your learning history and access. We do not treat an account deletion request as permission to disregard a valid refund claim.

9. Refunds and consumer rights

You have rights under applicable consumer law, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Those rights may include a remedy if services are faulty, are not supplied with due care and skill, or do not match their description. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to correction, cancellation, a refund or compensation.

Nothing in these Terms requires you to give up those rights. Any refund promise made in your offer also applies.

Outside your statutory rights and any refund promise, changing your mind after a one-time purchase does not create an automatic entitlement to a refund. You may still contact us about an accidental charge, billing error or exceptional circumstances, and we will consider the facts fairly.

If we discontinue a paid service or end your access for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide an appropriate refund for the affected unused paid service, taking account of whether you purchased a subscription or one-time access and the terms of that purchase. Where the law requires a different or greater remedy, that remedy applies. Suspension or termination for a breach does not automatically forfeit any statutory refund entitlement.

To request a refund, email your account email address, the relevant transaction and a brief explanation to hello@studysat.net. Do not send full payment-card details.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with a statutory withdrawal or cooling-off right, that right applies where required by local law. Starting a service or accessing digital content removes such a right only where the applicable legal conditions are met, including any required separate request, express consent and acknowledgement. Accepting these general Terms alone does not waive it.

10. Changes to prices and services

We may improve, update or replace features. We will not materially reduce the paid service you have already purchased after purchase without your agreement or an appropriate cancellation and refund option.

A later price change does not create an additional charge or recurring payment for an existing one-time purchase. Before a price change affects a Pro renewal, we will give notice and an opportunity to cancel before the changed charge applies. Where a proposed change to an existing purchase requires your agreement, we will obtain it.

Free features may change or be discontinued. Where a change will materially affect saved work or access, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to retrieve information where practicable. Urgent security or legal requirements may require shorter notice.

11. Your content

You retain the rights you hold in work, messages and other material you submit. You must have the rights or other lawful authority needed for the particular material and use. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your work to StudySAT.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit and technically process your content only as reasonably necessary to provide the features you request, maintain the service, and address security, support or legal requirements. For example, generating feedback may require sending your submission to a contracted AI provider. Service providers may process the material only within the scope needed for those purposes and the permissions described in our Privacy Policy.

This licence does not authorise us to publish your private work, sell it as a resource, use it in advertising, or train or fine-tune AI models on it. Any proposed optional use beyond the service purposes above requires a separate explanation and appropriate permission. Refusing an optional use does not remove your access to the service you purchased.

The licence ends when your content is deleted, except to the limited extent needed to meet legal obligations or resolve an existing dispute. It does not override your personal-information rights.

You also retain any rights you hold in your contributions to AI-assisted work. We cannot promise that AI output is unique, free of third-party rights or eligible for copyright protection.

12. Our resources and third-party materials

StudySAT resources may be owned by us or used under rights held by other people. Subject to the access rights for your plan, you may view and use the resources for your personal learning and make downloads where we provide that functionality.

You may not republish, resell or commercially distribute resources without the relevant permission, unless applicable law permits it. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners' rights. Nothing in these Terms claims ownership of SAT materials or grants you rights that StudySAT does not hold.

If you believe material on StudySAT infringes your rights, contact hello@studysat.net with the relevant page or file, the work concerned, your relationship to the rights holder and enough information for us to investigate. We may temporarily restrict disputed material while reviewing the issue.

13. External services and links

StudySAT may link to external sites or offer sign-in, payment or community features through other providers. Those providers may have their own terms and privacy notices. Check them before sharing information or making a separate purchase.

A link does not guarantee that an external site's material is accurate or licensed for your intended use. This section does not exclude responsibility that the law places on StudySAT for our own recommendations, representations or service providers.

14. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or end access where there is a reasonable basis to believe that you have materially breached these Terms, failed to pay an amount properly due, created a serious security or safety risk, or used the service unlawfully. Restrictions will be proportionate to the issue.

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason, give notice and allow you a reasonable opportunity to correct the problem. Immediate action may be necessary for a serious or continuing risk, or where the law requires it. We may withhold specific details if disclosure would compromise security, another person's rights or a legal investigation.

You can ask us to review a decision by emailing hello@studysat.net. We will consider relevant information and correct mistakes. Refund rights are addressed in section 9.

You may stop using StudySAT at any time and request account deletion under our Privacy Policy. For a Lifetime purchase there is no renewal to cancel; tell us separately if you are requesting a refund.

15. Our responsibility to you

We will provide the service with the care and skill required by applicable law. We are responsible for loss caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to meet applicable legal duties to the extent the law provides.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable as a result of our breach. We are not responsible for a particular academic outcome merely because you used StudySAT. This does not exclude responsibility where our own breach causes loss for which the law provides a remedy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, a non-excludable consumer guarantee, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

16. Complaints and governing law

Please contact us if something has gone wrong. We will review your complaint and try to resolve it fairly. You do not have to complete our complaint process before exercising a right to approach a regulator, tribunal or court.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence apply, you keep those protections. The courts and tribunals of Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction, without removing any right you have to bring a claim in another competent forum, including where you live.

These Terms do not require compulsory private arbitration or prevent you from taking part in a proceeding where the law permits it.

17. Updates to these Terms

We will publish the current version and its date on this page. For a material change affecting an existing account or purchase, we will give reasonable advance notice by email or an appropriate in-product notice explaining the change and when it takes effect. Price changes are subject to section 10.

We will give you an opportunity to stop using the affected service, and to cancel with an appropriate refund of unused prepaid access where a material adverse change affects that access. We will obtain renewed agreement where required by law. We will not treat silence or continued use as consent to a new optional personal-data use.

Changes will not retrospectively remove rights that have already arisen. Urgent changes required by law or necessary to address a serious security risk may take effect sooner, with notice as soon as reasonably practicable.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply so far as the law permits. A delay in enforcing a right does not, by itself, waive that right.
